Dr.Vimalathithan is an experienced and renowned Surgical Oncologist& HIPEC Surgeon .He graduated from Thanjavur medical college and went on to do M.S General Surgery from Stanley Medical College. He pursued his interest in cancer care by doing super specialization in Surgical Oncology from Prestigious Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology, Bangalore. He is a Diplomate of National board of examinations (surgical oncology). He is also Member of Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh.

He underwent Clinical Observership at Nebraska Cancer Center,Omaha USA and also did a fellowship in minimal access surgery. He has undergone extensive trained in handling complex cancer surgeries and organ conserving cancer surgeries. He believes in honest and ethical patient care and practice of Evidence Based Medicine in the field of oncology. He has given many awareness talks with emphasis on early detection and prevention of cancer.
